Fan
Jenny has been a devoted fan and season ticket holder of the Calgary Stampeders for over 30 years. Some of her fondest memories hail from the many Grey Cup games she has attended, whether here or in the other CFL cities. She also enjoys watching hockey, tennis, soccer, and the Olympics.
Who doesn't love a good film? Jenny appreciates good stories, whether they be dramas, comedies, or thrillers. Some of her favorite movies include The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Notting Hill, and The Sting. She also enjoys binge watching everything from Ted Lasso to The West Wing to Mayor of Kingstown.
Jenny believes in helping others and giving back to communities. She has volunteered for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, The Calgary International Children's Festival, and The United Way as a member of their Workplace Campaign cabinet.
Folk
Jenny has been a faithful attendee of the Calgary Folk Music Festival since 1998. She loves the eclectic line ups each year, and has dramatically increased her silver ring collection, thanks to the booths at the Art Market.
Cold weather doesn't stop Jenny from making time to join great folks for even greater causes. She has attended many rallies, in every season, all in support of various aspects of public education: two in Regina, another in Winnipeg, three in Calgary, and two in Edmonton.
Jenny is an avid traveler, having explored places of old and cultures of new. She has driven around several provinces, cruised the Caribbean, and toured many states and countries. She's equally happy walking along the Great Wall of China or lazing on a Mexican beach.
Foodie
Jenny has been a frequent patron of many Calgary restaurants. Her palate is eclectic - Mexican to Vietnamese, Italian to Chinese, French to Thai, and more. She is so appreciative of the diversity of culinary offerings available around her home town.
Jenny discovered food trucks years ago. She loves the spontaneity of choosing selections from chickpea curry to a mergez pita wrap to perogies and cabbage rolls. She just hopes there's an available table nearby!
Like so many people, Jenny treasures spending time with her family and friends, wherever they may be. Few things give her as much joy as sharing a good meal and great conversation with those she loves. She enjoys cooking and likes treating folks to everything from family recipes for potato salad and spaghetti sauce to her homemade coq au vin and roasted root vegetables.
